Hello Marie,

My suggestion is to use a nice, comfortable chair from your home. If you don't have one available or would rather not use your own, then possibly borrow a chair from a friend. If you would like to decorate it, then I could suggest:

- go to your local fabric store and buy one pattern of inexpensive baby-ish fabric (baby blocks, abc's, etc..) and make a slipcover. Be sure to measure the chair before making your purchase. Don't feel like you need to sew the material - you could use safety pins, tuck the fabric around the corners, tie the edges, etc...

-buy baby shower balloons and tie them to both of the back corners of the chair.

Other than that, I'm not sure there is much more that you would want to do to the chair. You will want the emphasis to be on the mom-to-be.

You really don't even have to dress up the chair. As long as you give the mom-to-be a comfortable place to sit, then that would be just fine. There may be stores out there that will rent "baby shower chairs", but I've never heard of them. There are many expenses to throwing a baby shower: games, food, cake, invitations, party favors, etc.. So, don't feel like you need to go all-out on a baby shower chair.
