Q:
I just found out that I'm pregnant and am looking for ways to
tell my husband. Since it is our first baby, I want to tell him
in a creative way. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer:
Hello
Rosalyn,
Thanks
for writing in to me. And Congratulations on your pregnancy. What
an exciting time for you and your husband.
Breaking
the news to your hubby in a creative way can make for a memorable
moment in time for him and you. Here are some suggestions:
1.
Buy a coffee mug that says "I love my daddy". If he
drinks coffee in the morning, then use that cup to fill with coffee
and give it to him. See how long it takes for him to notice the
mug and what it says.
2.
Make a "Daddy Toolbelt" for him. Buy a half apron, fill
it with goggles (for diaper changing), plastic gloves, earplugs,
clothespin (for stinky diapers), salad tongs (to help carry dirty
diapers), and anything else that might seem appropriate for the
upcoming birth of baby. A funny gift to give! Also,
you can replace his favorite ball cap for a New Dad cap ~ if that
doesn't give him the hint, I don't know what will.
3.
Go to a restaurant and arrange for them to bring him a cake with
a saying like "There's a Bun in the Oven....Congrats Dad!".
4.
Call a radio station like "Delila" and request that
they play a special song for him. Make sure he listens to that
station that night!
5.
Buy a card with a baby on the front and blank inside. Write this:
"Wouldn't it be nice....". Then, wrap up the pregnancy
test for him to open (include the instructions so he know if it
is positive of negative).
I'll
keep thinking of other ways to tell him that you are pregnant.
Good luck to you! Babies change our lives in the most special
ways.
Take
care,
Peggy
